Museum Schwerin

In 1882, the inauguration of the latest princely museum occurred in the renowned German royal residences in Schwerin.
Situated on Schweriner See lake, the castle, theatre, collegiate buildings and old palace combine to form an attractive ensemble and unique historical location in Germany.
Treasures of international standing from antiquity through to the present await you at the Alter Garten gardens and in the historic atmosphere of the three former royal palaces of Schwerin, Ludwigslust and Güstrow.
The Gallery of Old & New Masters in Schwerin and Schloss Güstrow are enhanced and enriched by the multifaceted series of special exhibitions held there, the focus of which is Contemporary Art in particular.
